He and his wife were 2nd cousins. He belonged to the Woburn 1st Church, 1756. Was Selectman 1757, paid by the town for his time & trouble about the French, 1758; on committees to sell enlarged per-ground, to sell old bell and purchase a new one, on the "public" affairs of government", 1772-3, a soldier before 1777
